So I got Dark Angel on DVD.

Couldn't get it on XBOX Live.
Couldn't download it illegally and have the audio work (in my defense I tried the first two first).
So I drove my happy ass all the way to Syracuse and Barnes & Noble didn't have it.
But for once I ordered it instead of waiting and seeing if they'd have it later because that series is pretty obscure (apparently?) and clearly I'd have to drive even farther if I really wanted to find it (except as I'm typing this I wonder if I shouldn't have just gone to the FYE at the mall in Watertown...and the answer is that I tend to forget that place exists because now that Borders is no more I rarely go to the mall at all... *shrugs*). So, yeah. I waited, and it didn't take very long for both seasons to arrive, like less than a week.
And the first disc had a big ol' scratch or something on it and the XBOX in my craft room/office thingy (Chris's old one) got all heated up and farted out, and my laptop didn't even recognize the DVD when I put it in the drive and tried to play it that way...
But it's working fine on Chris's XBOX so that's something. Still some skips where the scratch is, which is super annoying, but it plays more than the older version XBOX 360 did.
And now I have my Dark Angel to watch and it's strangely addictive. I remember watching some of it when the show was on TV and liking it, but now that I can watch it in order it's so much better. And the music! And the colloquialisms! And PAGERS.
Nothing changes so quickly as yesterday's view of the future!
And getting Dark Angel on DVD is another branch of my Supernatural fandom after seeing SPN/DA crossovers that I knew I wouldn't be able to get and Jensen Ackles is in both series (hence the crossover appeal I suppose) so in a few days (because I'm not going to space it out to make the seasons last longer because...I dunno, reasons) I'll be skipping to those fics.
Also, I made a Fourth Doctor scarf for Chris (I'll post the pictures later but if you don't want to wait they're on my Flickr), and a District 11 scarf based on these (and I've made a District 12 one but that was...I think in February), and I've been sleeping to much.
