First TV show I had self-insertion fantasies about:
Star Trek: The Next Generation. I didn't even have regular internet access back then, it was sometime around when I started middle school (in '96).
First fandom in which I interacted (online and in person) with other fans:
Star Trek: The Next Generation, followed quickly by Sailormoon and Jonny Quest TRA.
Pairing in the first slash fanfiction I read:
Julian Bashir/Jake Sisko (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine). Which I really wasn't looking for. Not slash and certainly not non-con and it disturbed the fuck out of me (I was still in middle school, or maybe early high school at the time). Though not long after I read the most sweet and beautiful Tom Paris/Harry Kim (Star Trek: Voyager) fic, and while I didn't get into that pairing or slash for another few years, at least I realized then that "slash" didn't imply violence.
First RPS/RPF I read:
Punditry fandom. Keith Olbermann/Anderson Cooper, back in '08. (Which, after that being my main fandom for a couple of years--and I still watch Rachel Maddow every weekday and I listened to her book because she did the narrating herself--made J2 and Cockles and Mishalecki and so forth not particularly eyebrow-raising. :P)
First fanfiction I read that made me think, YES, this is exactly the kind of fanfiction I'd like to write...
Probably a JQ self-insert, since self-inserts are the majority of what I write. *grimace*
Pairing in the first fanfiction I wrote:
Geordi La Forge + me (shut up, I was like twelve and writing it in an old journal with flowers on the cover)
First OTP:
I'd been in fandom awhile before I learned terms like "fandom" or "OTP" but I suppose Haruka/Michiru from SM or Jonny/Jessie from JQ:TRA.
First RPS/F OTP:
Keith Olbermann/Anderson Cooper.
First fannish friend I met in person:
I've never met a fandom friend in person. :(
Well, yet. :)
First character I formally roleplayed:
I was gonna roleplay Mika Brzezinski for a punditry fandom round robin type thing, but I got bored with Mika and dropped out, and decided to just read and comment on other people's fic instead.
