Happy and Sad.
Jan. 22nd, 2011 09:02 amHappy, because
autumn_mourning came over yesterday morning and helped me organize--she's very good with motivation and ideas and helping with the grunt work!
Sad, because Friday's Countdown with Keith Olbermann was the last ever. Even without the guy on Twitter who posted the link, I've had Europe's "The Final Countdown" stuck in my head ever since I got the news.
But this is Keith Olbermann we're talking about, a gregarious, big-hearted, egotistical loudmouth and he won't be kept silent. Even if he can't do TV I'm sure we'll see him online or hear him on the radio. We certainly haven't had the last of him!
And as for the organizing, my office/workspace is pretty much done! We moved enough boxes and gathered enough stackable shelves from elsewhere in the house (well, apartment, but having grown up in houses I'm used to using that for apartment and townhome and whatnot too when referring to my home, however three-years temporary :P) to have a wall of those stackable shelves and stackable drawer and one fold-out wooden shelf that is a bit warped but still has those useful things called flat surfaces. I'll post pictures later today or sometime tomorrow. *squees some more*
Also, I'm making lots more beanies with the round Knifty Knitters, mostly using thick wool yarn, some of which was a gift from Eurynome, and some of which had origninally been a typically-for-me too-big blanket that I'd made for Chris back when we were at the inn when we first got to Alaska. I'll make him a better blanket, a Space Invaders design in granny squares, out of cotton or something later on. :)
