The message is simply: "We are doomed :("
Anyhow, I managed not to say, "wow, really? Well you failed the FCAT so I guess I should have known all along that you're fucking stupid, and thanks for leaving me sooner rather than later" but I wanted to. But I'm passive-aggressive, not particularly confrontational, and not that petty.
And just as I was writing the above paragraph my husband came in and mentioned the same post by the ex (Chris still has some smugness that he's with me and Dayne is not. I like that being with me makes Chris feels mug.) and I told him what I managed not to post, and he said I should post he following, which is a quote from Invader ZIM:
"Open your Doom Books to chapter four, page ninety-eight."
So I did, and it was perfect.
This post was going to be asking for suggestions but I don't need them anymore, but if it's something witty and/or entertaining I'd like to see it anyway.
Yes, this post is about President Obama getting re-elected. Which I am really happy about but mostly just deliriously relieved because like last year, I didn't believe it until it had already happened. (And I was picking Chris up from work--he's on night baking now--so I missed the initial announcement.) I'm also BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS over marriage equality in Maine and Maryland! (I don't think civil rights should be up for a vote, but it's still fucking awesome that those two states have equal marriage rights now.)
Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC is saying that Romney probably won't say anything tonight unless it's to concede, buuuuut that he might come out and say something anyway. My response to that: maybe he'll randomly take his boat out for his press group to videotape and WTF at. (ETA 0055: Guess he's speechifying after all.)

Also I went onto Facebook to play more FarmVille (DAMMIT FIZZY) and skimmed my wall and shared a few MARRIAGE EQUALITY YAY and such-like posts and my sister who is now out of college and living on the other side of the country liked a few so I said "HAI" at her and we talked a bit and it was so good to hear from her! (It was also nice to see that I'm not the only non-Republican in my family. It's not just me and K, but the past few weeks I've mostly been seeing "so-and-so relative or in-law likes Mitt Romney" and I'm just "um...okay..." because I knew my in-laws were really conservative but my family, especially my dad's side of the family is pretty well educated and that surprised me.)
Also-also I've had a large soda and a really awesome chocolate chip cookie from Mary Ellen's. I might have WAY TOO MUCH sugar in my system. And caffeine. And I want coffee. And I'm downright giddy with the continuing-to-be-President Obama and marriage equality in two more states (and by ballot!) and partial pot legalization and just... *bouncebounce*
So I'll end with this: that Invader ZIM quote was pretty damned clever of Chris. I know he's smart, and I know he's really fucking random (not to mention the king of non sequiturs), but I really should give him more credit for having the right words, not just a lot of them.
