Florida's not letting me vote.
Oct. 18th, 2012 02:13 pmI just got a letter with a new registration form saying that the form I sent by the 8th (the 8th is the latest I could have registered and still vote in November) was incomplete. Because I didn't have a valid address. The letter I just got--dated the 12th--says that I can't use a business address or P.O. Box.
No shit, Sherlock.
I used my actual address. My actual Fort Drum address. My VALID Fort Drum address that is on MY FUCKING VALID FLORIDA DRIVER'S LICENSE.
Fuck you, Rick Scott.

ETA: I got a link at LJ to a voter help page, and I chatted with a voter assistance person, and apparently I was supposed to give them my last Florida address for district counting purposes. And of course it's too late to change it for this year.
