Sorry. I know it's been awhile.
Aug. 24th, 2011 11:38 pmThere's been some lack of give a damn, some spending too much time on Tumblr, and there was the ten days in a row of the shop. This would have been my twelfth day in a row except I found out that I was missing a vital piece of paperwork that the PX vending services ladies told me not to freaking worry about! And while ignorance is no excuse for violating a law, I'm hoping it will at least be considered a mitigating factor, as well as being totally honest about wanting to get the matter cleared up. So while I'm still working on the (many, many) custom orders I've gotten since my shop opened the Saturday before last (and I got ideas for other stuff that I'd really like to get to so I'm trying to breeze through the specials), I'm not operating the shop until my paperwork is in order.
Also I've been taking time off, resting, catching up on housekeeping both at home and online, running errands (awils1--I finally sent off your package, and again my apologies for the extreme lateness!), that sort of thing.
Well, that's about it.
Wait, almost.
I got an iPhone 3GS (only $49, about 1/4 of what the cheapest new one costs! :D) and I've got my flist in the Safari browser so I've been slowly (very slowly since, yanno, the custom orders and all) trying to catch up to the present on that. I'm in May now and...ye gods and little fishes, I'm still in May. Third year in a row I've fallen behind. *headdesks*
And that first week I gave a queer soldier a "genetically gifted" discount on the rainbow blanket I made awhile back. What can I say, I have a soft spot for cute gay boys, especially ones who are willing to spend a chunk of their lives in the closet to serve their country. (After all, DADT isn't over yet.)
So, how are all of you doing on this fine almost-Thursday?
