Yesterday and today we've been going around getting as much ready as possible, most of which we can't do until we get a certain Magical Checklist that we have yet to receive, but we have taken most of Chris's issued stuff to the quartermaster for cleaning, arranged for the stuff that needs to be turned in (including his cook whites WTF) to be brought in to the bringing-stuff-back place (I don't remember what it's called) and sorted out, and I have both medical and mental health appointments to get that stuff squared away.

We still have to:

Get that Magical Checklist

Find out what day we're supposed to fly out

Take that information to Transportation to arrange our tickets

And for our household goods to be picked up

And PACK for the trip to NY including things we'll want right away like Chris's XBOX 360 and a fair quantity of yarn and books and Chris's laptop and oh yeah, stuff like clothes and toiletries

And do a deep cleaning of the empty unit, or have the lady who advertised at housing do it if the price is right

And and and...

And get the car cleaned inside and out--and it started snowing today!--and checked out for automotive issues, and get the oil changed, and put my Etsy shop on haitus until our household goods arrive 'cause I'm not taking the whole bin of stock with me and I won't have an address to send the stuff to until we have housing so we might as well wait...
